Committal Services for Mrs. Anna Jarvis

Committal Services for the remains of Mrs. Anna Jarvis, former Morning Sun resident, were held in Elmwood cemetery on Dec. 21. Mrs. Jarvis, 92 years old, died at Vallejo, California on December 9. She was born in Iowa City on January 28, 1858.

Mrs. Jarvis and her husband, Leander M. Jarvis, operated the Jarvis hotel in Morning Sun for many years. After leaving Morning Sun about 1915 they lived for a time in Washington, Iowa where Mr. Jarvis died in 1918. The family later moved to Vallejo, where Mrs. Jarvis made her home until her death on December 9.

Mrs. Jarvis is survived by a son, Bert Jarvis, Los Angeles, a daughter Charlotte Damnenbaum, Valljo, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
