Funeral Service for Mrs. Spaethe to Be Held Friday
Columbus Junction, June 24 – The funeral services of Mrs. Curtis Spaethe will be held at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist Episcopal church at Columbus City and will be in charge of the Rev. J. T. Aiken. Interment will be in the Columbus City cemetery.
Mrs. Spaethe passed away Tuesday morning at her home, nine miles southwest of Washington, where the family moved the first of March. She had been in failing health for some time.
Miss Blanch Bozman was born June 8, 1883, near Columbus City which has since been her home.
Her father died when she was small and she made her home with her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Wesley Hall. She was married to Curtis Spaethe in 1904. Besides the husband, four children survive. They are Eugene, Mildred, Lyle and Dean at home. Her mother, Mrs. Thomas Willits and several half brothers and sisters also survive.
