Mrs. Gookin Killed -- Word was received here Wednesday afternoon that Mrs. B. C. Gookin of Ismay, Mont., was killed in an auto accident.

Mrs. Gookin was a former well known Columbus City resident. The body will arrive here at 5:40 o’clock Friday morning and the funeral arrangements will be made known later. No particulars of the accident were received.

Miss Meda Morgan was born in Washington county, Tenn., May 1870 and came to Columbus Junction in 1894. She lives in Hannibal, Mo., 14 years and the past 10 years at Ismay. Her husband survives, besides six sons and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Krutzfeldt, James, Lyle, Hugh, Ralph, Ruth and Roy. She is also survived by her father, S.P. Morgan, of West Middlesex, Pa., and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. E. W. Skinner of Columbus City; Miss Phoebe Morgan and Robert, Ira and Arch of West Middlesex., Pa.; J. B. Morgan of Columbus Junction and Mrs. S. T. West of Sealah, Wash.
