MRS. JESSIE GIBBS SERVICES SATURDAY

Mrs. Jessie May Gibbs, 79, died Wednesday afternoon, June 14 at the Beauchamp nursing home in Winfield.

The daughter of Cornelius and Arsema Aronhalt, she was born February 1, 1882 in Maryville, Mo. She lived her early life in Kansas and Iowa and settled in the Marsh-Winfield vicinity.

On February 14, 1906, she married Lucian S. Gibbs at Marsh. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Survivors include seven children: Mrs. Evelyn Whitham, Morning Sun; Merle Gibbs, Winfield; Lyle Gibbs, Tama road, Burlington; Mrs. Eyloe Rumboldt, Knoxville, Tenn.; Mrs. Hazel Ross, Earlham, Iowa; Dayle Gibbs, San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Betty Baker, Pasadena, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Orr, Lenox, Iowa; 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband, two sisters and two brothers are dead.

Services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Winfield Methodist church with the Rev. Eugene Williams of the Open Bible church and the Rev. David Barker of the Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Elmwood cemetery.
