Funeral services were Tuesday at the Methodist church, Morning Sun, for Mrs. Tressa Frazier Whitham, age 80, of Morning Sun, who died at the Beaucamp Nursing Home in Winfield, Ia. which is north and west of Morning Sun. Tressa was the daughter of Elliott and Nancy Patton Frazier. Tressa was born Dec. 4, 1872 at Morning Sun. She was a lifelong resident of the community. She was married to James Whitham at Morning Sun on Aug. 30, 1906. Surviving are a son Forrest Whitham, Morning Sun; step daughter Mrs. F.S. Sayre of Delta, Colorado; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Ferrol in 1939 and her husband in 1949. She is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery.
