FORREST M. WHITHAM

Forrest M. Whitham, 68, died Friday, January 28, 1977 in the University Hospital, Iowa City.

He was the son of James and Tressa Frazier Whitham and was born April 13, 1908 at Morning Sun. On June 24, 1931, he was married to Evelyn Marie Gibbs at Sturgis, South Dakota.

For many years he was employed at the Warfield Lumber Company and later was the custodian at the Morning Sun School and the Iowa State Bank. He was a member of the Baptist Church, a veteran of World War 11 and a member of the Zersh Lodge 652.

He is survived by his wife at home, three sons, Marvin, Holstein, Iowa, Kenneth, Mediapolis and Robert, Burlington; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ronald Wigand on Monday, January 31, 1977 at 10:30 a.m. at Pierce Funeral Home. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
