Mrs. Beulah M. Austin, 84, of Letts, died April 26, 1986, at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine.

She was born May 23, 1901 at Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Riley and Viola LINDSAY ENGLISH. She married Dr. H. J. AUSTIN in June of 1924 at Manhattan, Kansas. Mrs. Austin has been a resident of Letts for 62 years and was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church, the Letts Library Board, Letts Federated Club, Letts School Board, Iowa State Historical Society Board, Letts Garden Club and a 50 year member of Chapter T of TTT.

A daughter, Mrs. David (Charlaine) BASKETT of Casper, Wyoming, four granddaughters and two great-grandsons survive.

She was preceded in death by a sster, Lila, and her husband.

Services: April 30 at the Letts Methodist Church.
Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery.
