Fred Harris Funeral ThursdayFred Harris, 79, former Morning Sun (Iowa) resident, died at Hershey hospital in Muscatine (Iowa) Monday night.
He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Randall Harris and was born August 8, 1881 on a farm west of Morning Sun. Most of his life was spent in this community until 15 years ago when he moved to Muscatine where he has lived since.
He was married to Dora Metzgar, who survives with one son, Earl, and one granddaughter of Muscatine. Two sisters, Mrs. H. S. Hill and Mrs. Margaret Tillman, Winfield (Iowa) also survive.
The body is at the Pierce Funeral Parlors from where it will be taken to the Harris home in Muscatine where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday and at the Marsh Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery (Morning Sun, Iowa).
