DIED

At his residence in this city, on Friday Dec. 14, 1883, at 7 o'clock p.m., WILLIAM MINCHER, aged 36 yrs. 2 mos and 17 days.

William Mincher was born on his father's farm, five miles west of Wapello, Iowa. He served as a private in Co. H, 87th Indiana Volunteers, during the war, and was wounded at the battle of Chicamaugua, which wound resulted in consumption, the cause of his death. His funeral occurred from the late residence at 11 o'clock on Sunday, Dec. 16th. He was buried under the auspices of Taylor Post, G. A. R. of this city.
