Wapello - Lester Edwin “Ted” Arnold, 66 Wapello, died at 8:40 p.m. Saturday at the University Hospital, Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dugeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight.

Ted Arnold was born June 7, 1910 at Denmark, Iowa, the son of Lester and Lydia Burton Arnold.

He married Myrtle Ivins Oct. 5 1935 at For Madison. He was a retired Wapello City Marshal.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Lester f Wapello; a daughter, Levira Atkins of Atalissa; nine grandchildren; a brother, Robert of Galesburg, Ill.; and two sisters Mrs. Helen Long of Carthage, Ill., and Mrs. Edna Tebbs of Jefferson City, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
