Wapello – Thomas Russell Weiser, 82, Wapello, died Sunday at the Burlington Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Dugeon McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Rev. Jerold Swinton will officiate and burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.

Thomas Weiser was born Feb. 14, 1894, at Wapello, the son of Zacharius and Elizabeth Harris Weiser.

He married Ethel Butler April 10, 1924, at Burlington. A retired printer, he was a veteran of World War 1 having served in the Army.

Surviving are his wife; a son Robert of Burlington; and two grandchildren.
