W. O. DURYEA, Wyman, Dies

Funeral Services Conducted At Morning Son Presbyterian Church Today

Morning Sun (IA), December 27. -- Funeral services of W. O. Duryea, 79, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. O. Yohe, and Mr. Yohe, in the Wyman vicinity Saturday after a short illness, were held at the Morning Sun Presbyterian church this afternoon, with interment in Elmwood cemetery.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Duryea, he was born in Kingston vicinity June 6, 1859. He also resided for a time in Des Moines county

He wed Mary Howe, of Morning Sun where the couple lived until Mrs. Duryea's death in 1922, after which Mr. Duryea made his home with his children.

Four daughters survive -- Mrs. Yohe of Wyman, Mrs. Leonard Owens, Cedar Rapids, Mrs. James Wilson, Wapello and Mrs. Norman Jack, Winfield also seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Brothers and sisters surviving are Charles, South Bend, Washington, Mrs. Idella Wyerman Morning Sun, John, San Francisco California, Mrs. Harriett Lynn, Los Angeles, California, and George P., Raymond, Washington.
