Randy Johnson, 56, or rural Columbus Junction, died Friday, October 3, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Rev. Dick Swartzendruber will officiate. Casket bearers will be Ben Peck, John Bellows, Josh Drayfahl, Jake Wieland, Ty Harland, and Shane Kirk. Honorary casket bearers will be Brook Smith, Hunter Hamilton, Jamie Stewart, Jason Stewart, Jeremy Smith, Dustin Johnson, Nick Johnson, Kyle
Rossman, Clint Colbert, West Smith, Larry Bontrager, Darwin Hershberger and Tony Cox. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at the funeral home in Randy’s name. Randy William Johnson was born on January 25, 1958, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of William Ransom and Barbara (Howell) Johnson. Randy was united in marriage to Karen Everett and later divorced. On October 20, 1984, Randy was united in marriage to Patricia E. Pfister in Iowa City. Randy owned and operated Johnson Livestock Hauling for 38 years and with his wife, Patricia, he owned Pat and Randy[s Tavern and Restaurant in Lone Tree for 15 years. Randy was the major of Gladwin and enjoyed NASCAR mowing, working in the outdoors, held several safety meetings, sending several snap chats and had a heart of gold, but most of all, Randy dearly loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Randy will be dearly missed by his daughters, Amy Smith and special friend, Clint Colbert and Barbara Rossman and husband, Kyle, of Columbus Junction; grandson, Brock Smith; mother, Barbara Grasham of Riverside; sisters, Connie Sue Johnson of Riverside; sisters, Connie Sue Johnson of Riverside, Linda Sojka-Johnson and husband, Jeff, of Riverside and Joyce Hamilton and husband, Stephen, of Lone Tree; brother, Billy Johnson and wife, Sherry, of Fairfield; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Patches.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, William; wife, Patricia on March 6, 2013; infant son, Randy Jean, and one sister Jeanie Johnson.
