Hervey, Carol M – The Wapello Republican, November 6, 2014

Carol McLean Hervey, 93, Roswell, New Mexico, died Monday, October 20, 2014. Carol was born to Harold and Grace Odle McLean on June 19, 1921 in rural Wapello. She graduated from her Wapello High School with the class of 1940.

She was married to James Hervey in 1943. They lived in rural Webster, IA, Washington, IA, and moved to Tucson, AZ in 1958. After retiring, they moved to Roswell, NM in 1998 to be near family.

Carol is survived by one son, Carr Hervey and wife Grace; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Hervey and James Hervey; a daughter-in-law, Phyllis Hervey; also a sister, Andree Moran and brother-in-law Jack Morgan; two sisters-in-law, Lorna McLean and Norma McLean; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Jim, daughter, Candace; son, Hilary; three brothers, Neal, Douglas and Sonny; and her parents.

The funeral will be at a later date at Memorial Park East Lawn in Tucson, AZ.
