GRANDVIEW, Iowa - A. Marie Lamb, 89, Grandview, died Friday, March 5, 2004, at her home.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, at the Grandview Community Bible Church. The Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate. Burial with be at the Grandview Cemetery.
Visitation is noon-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, with family present from 4-7 p.m., at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. Memorials have been established for the Grandview Community Bible Church Mission Fund and the Iowa City Hospice.
Mrs. Lamb was born Nov. 14, 1914, in Letts, the daughter of Earnest Blaine and Della Belle "Joy" Smith Curtis. She married Ernest Maynard "Pete" Lamb May 29, 1944, in Muscatine. He preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1970.
She graduated from Columbus Junction High School.
She was an active member of Grandview Community Bible Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Ashley of Lenexa, Kan., and Susan Ostowski and husband Dean of Almaty, Kazakhstan; a stepdaughter, Mary Louise Phillips of Wapello; four sons, Charles Lamb and wife Carole of Billerica, Mass., David Lamb and wife Pamela of Bradenton, Fla., Donald Lamb and wife Cindy of Grandview and Douglas Lamb and wife Donna of Colona, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Peter M. Lamb; and a brother, Leonard.
