Burton Wittmann

GRANDVIEW, Iowa - Burton Frederick Wittmann, 63, Grandview, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at his home.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Darryl Erickson will officiate. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery.

Visitation is noon-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, with the family present from 6-8 p.m., at funeral home.

Mr. Wittmann was born March 20, 1940, in Grandview, the son of Walter W. and M. Burdette Dulgar Wittmann.

He graduated from Grandview High School in 1957.

He unloaded trucks at Doane Products, Muscatine, for 20 years.

He enjoyed people, his family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed listening to Country music.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Suiter and husband Larry of Columbus Junction and Margaret Ann Tucker and husband Jim of Davenport; a son, David Wittmann and wife Donna of Columbus City; eight grandchildren, Heather and Lindsey Suiter of Columbus Junction, Stephanie and Anthony Gonzales of Florida, Trevor and Shelby Tucker of Davenport, and Nathan, Laura and Brodrick Wittmann of Columbus City; and two brothers, Arnold Wittmann and wife Gloria of Grandview and Harlan "Moe" Wittmann of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
