Clayton Robertson
Clayton P. Robertson, McAllen, Texas, died March 2, 2004. He was born April 12, 1911, on a farm near Mediapolis, Iowa, to the late John and Lena Mabel * Robertson, the seventh of 10 children.
He was active in the church choir of St. Mark United Methodist Church in McAllen for 34 years. He was also a founding member for many years of the barber shop harmony group known as the Magic Valley Men of AChord, and sang with them for about 15 years. His greatest delight was as a volunteer librarian at Taylor Christian School where he would read to the children during the library hour.
Survivors include his son, Dwight Robertson and wife Becky Cantu Robertson, McAllen; two daughters, Linda J. Robertson of Alameda, California and Carol Green and husband Douglas Green, Fairfax, VA; three granddaughters, Amy Pettus of San Jose, California, Lisa and Bill McCrory of Coeuer D'Alene, Idaho, and Erin Robertson of Bloomington, Ill; three grandsons, Jason and Michelle Green and Heremy Green, Fairfax, and Steve Robertson of Los Angeles, California.
Visitation was Thursday, March 4, with the family visiting with friends and family from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home, McAllen.
The funeral service was Friday at St. Mark United Methodist Church, McAllen. Burial followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, McAllen.
Memorial donations may be made to Taylor Christian School, 2021 W. Jackson Ave., McAllen, TX 78501.

The Heavenly Choir has a new base singer! Clayton P. Robertson, McAllen Texas, died March 2, 2004 and is home with the Lord. He was born April 12, 1911, on a farm near Mediapolis, to the late John and Lena Mabel * Robertson, the seventh of 10 children.
*His mother's maiden name was Baird
His wife's name was Alice Schmeiser, currently deceased.
