F. Burdette Boulton 91, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Bruce Ursin will officiate. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community Room. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Masonic Lodge to be used for their temple building update. Sympathy notes for the Boulton family may be left at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Floyd Burdette Boulton was born on March 23, 1921 in Louisa County, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Dorothy (Partington) Boulton. He was a 1938 graduate of Wapello High School. On January 31, 1942, Burdette married Velma Wasson in Columbia, MO. He retired from Alcoa after 34 years of service. Burdette was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, White Shrine in Davenport, York Rite in Muscatine, Moose Lodge, and a Worship Master of Triune Lodge 641 in Muscatine. After retiring from Alcoa, Burdette drove part-time for the City Bus.

Burdette will be deeply missed by his children; Ann Jones and her significant other, Don Pauken, of Muscatine, Steven Boulton and wife, Elizabeth, of Tampa, FL, Richard Boulton and wife, Caroline, of Blue Springs, MO, and David Boulton of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Susan Boulton of Shenandoah, PA, Stephanie LoBianco and husband, Sal, of Muscatine, Jennifer Mattson and husband, Steve of Lee Summit, MO, Alysia Boulton and her fiancée, Anthony Utt, of Warrensburg, MO, and Nicholas Boulton of Independence, MO; four great-grandchildren, Margaret, Rachel, and Thomas LoBianco, and Alexis Mattson; brothers & sisters, Ray Boulton and wife, Roberta, of Wapello, Mary Tompkins and husband, Lyle of Montezuma, IA, Don Boulton of Tennessee, James Allen and wife Joyce, of Hartsburg, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter in infancy, sisters, Geraldine Tollefson and Alice Zumwaldt; brothers, Kenneth Boulton, Jack Allen, and Ron Allen.
