Jeremy “Honus” Thomas Wagner

Jeremy “Honus” Thomas Wagner, age 26, of Sperry, died early Saturday, February 25, 2012 in a motor vehicle accident near Yarmouth. The son of Tom and Tammy (Hartman) Wagner, he was born on October 3, 1985, in Iowa City. He was a graduate of the Mediapolis High School, class of 2004.

He had worked at Gabeline Trucking and was currently employed at Springsteen Tilling. He was an avid race fan and was part of Colby Springsteen’s pit crew. He enjoyed duck hunting and riding horses in earlier years.

Survivors include: his parents of Sperry; grandparents, Don Wagner of Mediapolis and Bill and Joanne Hartman of Washington; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ruth Lundsford and Carolyn Hartman.

Cremation has been accorded and there will be no immediate service at this time. In Lieu of flowers a general memorial in his name has been established.

Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis is assisting the family with arrangements.
