Lyle Bozman Spaethe, 70, of 2970 W. 3775 S., died Tuesday, July 6, 1982, at St. Benedict's Hospital.

He was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Morning Sun, Iowa, a son of John Curtis and Blanche Bozman Spaethe.

On July 4, 1935, he married Elizabeth Hudachko in Rock Springs, Wyo.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 151, in Rock Springs, Wyo., and a member of the F&AM, Lodge No. 12, of Rock Springs. He was a member of the York Rite in Ogden and member of the El Kalah Temple in Salt Lake City.

He had been a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers Club. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was reared and educated in Iowa.

He had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 48 years, retiring in 1975.

He moved from Iowa to Rock Springs, Wyo., in 1928. In 1960 he moved from Rock Springs to Park City, Utah, and moved to Roy in 1964.

Surviving are his widow of Roy; one son, Thomas Dean Spaethe, Roy, and two grandchildren.

Public Masonic services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Flowers Mortuary with Worshipful Master Robert R. Mong of the Unity Lodge No. 18, F&AM, officiating.

Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to services. Interment in Aultorest Memorial Park.
