Services for LeRoy Allen Willet, 79, of 303 31st Ave. West, Milan, formerly of Illinois City, are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis.

Visitation is 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Heart Association or American Kidney Foundation.

Mr. Willet died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1993, at Trinity Medical Center, East Campus, Moline.

He was born June 26, 1914, in Columbus City, Iowa, the son of Frank Allen and Lucy Rachel Alice Allen Willet. He married Lucille Swanger June 30, 1937, in Cambridge.

He attended Winfield, Iowa, public schools.

He retired in 1976 as a truck driver and maintenance section worker with the Burlington Northern Railroad, where he had been employed for 22 years. He had previously worked for Henry Engineering Co., Moline, for 13 years.

The couple moved to Milan in December of 1990.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Milan; and Maintenance-of-Way Employees Union, Galesburg.

He assisted in construction of the state park at Keosauqua, Iowa, while a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. during the 1930's.

He enjoyed traveling and working his garden.

Survivors include the widow; daughters and son-in-law, Janet and Leon Goold, Milan, and Rita and Wayne Taber, Coal Valley; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren.
