KASSABAUM, GENSLER, BARTLETT, RUPPERT

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Dysart Chapel, for Charles Kassabaum, 73, who died Monday, April 3, 1961, in St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.

He was born March 27, 1888 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, the son of Henry and Isabelle Gensler Kassabaum. He came to Granville in 1914, and in 1916 he was married to Miss Lottie Bartlett.

He was employed as a trainman for 22 years by the Milwaukee Railroad and for 22 years by the Rock Island, retiring in 1957.

Surviving with Mrs. Kassabaum are their three children, Bartlett of Gary, Ind., Charles, and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Ruppert of Granville; 13 grandchildren; a brother, William of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ewing of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and five brothers.

Rev. Walter B. Crowell, pastor of the Congregational Church, of which deceased was a member, will officate at the services, and burial will be in the local cemetery.

Serving as pallbears will be Harry Nelsom LaSalle; Raymond Rearick Jr., Harold Rearick, Herbert, Gilbert and Robert Ehrishman, all of Gary.
