Mrs. Lucy R. Willet, 74, of 317 East 12th Avenue, Milan, Illinois, died at 10:35 a.m., Sunday, March 8, 1970, in front of the United Methodist Church in Milan where she collapsed as she was going to services. She was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Anthony's Hospital.

She was born November 19, 1895, in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Lina Allen. She was educated in the Columbus Junction schools and lived in Columbus Junction for 30 years. She was married to Frank A. Willet on June 22, 1913, in Columbus City. He preceded her in death. She also lived in Winfield for 20 years and moved to Milan in 1945.

Survivors include two sons, LeRoy A. Willet, Route 1, Muscatine, and Joseph C. Willet, Milan, Illinois; one sister, Hazel Lupton, LaPuente, California; two half sisters, Mrs. Susie Patterson, Biggsville, Illinois and Mrs. Mary Meincke, Blythesville, Arkansas.

Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Larson Funeral Home in Milan conducted by Rev. J. Gerald Nichols, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Milan.

Burial was in the Columbus City, Iowa cemetery.
