Miss Lucy Elizabeth Riley of Columbus City, died at 5:10 p.m., January 18, 1978, at Muscatine General Hospital, at the age of 57 years and 1 month.

She was born December 18, 1820, at Crawfordsville, the daughter of Jesse and Mary Ellen Willet Riley. She was a member of the Silver Leaf Rebekah Lodge No. 394, Royal Neighbors of America, Columbus City Improvement Club, and the Columbus City United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her father; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy) Ashby of Burlington and Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Dunnahoo of Columbus City; and one brother, Charles Riley of Columbus Junction.

Her mother and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Hasel officiating. Miss Donna Belle Hughes was organist and Mrs. Kenneth Carrell was soloist. The Silver Leaf Rebekah Lodge conducted the Lodge service, Casket bearers were Daryl, James, Melvin and Larry Ashby, Jerry and Dennis DeWitt. Flower attendants were Donna Ashby and Lori Riley. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.
