Jeffrey Michael Carney, 46, of Roscoe, Illinois passed away in his home October 28, 2011 after a long battle with colorectal cancer. He was born January 19, 1965 to Roy “Mick” and Mary Ellen (Pallischeck) Carney in Manchester, Iowa. He attended Columbus Community High School and graduated from Hamilton Technical College. On May 23, 1992, Jeff married Kimberly O’Donnell.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly A. Carney; Daughters, Zoie and Morghan Carney; Son, Samuel Carney of Roscoe; Sister, Tracey Whitlow (Harold) of Wapello, Iowa; Father-in-law; Marlin “Moose” O’Donnell, brother-in-law; Kenneth Ray O’Donnell, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Shane Michael Carney; brothers, Gerry Lee Carney and Joey Kim; Sisters, Jareen “Ann” Aimes and Barbara Jo Tillman; and Mother-in-law, Patricia O’Donnell.

Jeff was an avid Cubs Fan, Chicago Blackhawks fan, and Nascar Fan. He enjoyed riding his Harley and being with his family and friends. Special thanks to Swedish American Oncology Staff, Heartland Hospice, and all his family and friends for their special care and love during Jeff’s illness.

Memorial services were at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, in the Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street. Visitation was from 5:00 p.m. to services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice or to an education fund for his children.
