Tommy Gene (Tom) Colton, 68, of Floral City, FL, formerly of Columbus Junction, passed away on September 11, 2011 after a brief illness.

Tom was born in Muscatine, IA on November 6, 1942, the son of Donald and Opal (Honts) Colton.

He married Linda Johnson in 1961. They later divorced.

Tom was well known in Columbus Junction and the surrounding area. He was the owner of Colton TV and Appliance, and he entertained many friends with his band "The Bright Sides.”

After cremation his ashes were scattered on the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Tom will be greatly missed by his former wife and loving companion, Lynnette Colton, Kimberling City, MO, his son, Don Colton, Myrtle Beach, SC, daughter, Vicki Colton, Riverside, IA, his brother, Larry (Pat) Colton, Homosassa, FL, and three grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his father and mother.
