MUSCATINE, Iowa - Sylvia Batchelor, 81, of Davenport died Tuesday Dec. 12, 2000, at Trinity North Medical Center in Davenport.

Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Runge Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to the family.

Mrs. Batchelor was born March 5, 1919, in North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Mahon Batchelor in 1938. He died in 1981.

She worked as a waitress and bartender at various downtown Davenport establishments. She retired from Musco Lighting Group.

Survivors include one granddaughter, Jackie Bernauer of Davenport; one great-grandson, Casey Bernauer of Davenport; two brothers, Johnny Renner, Grandview; Harold Renner of California; one sister, Dolly Hites of Albuquerque, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her children, Edna Mae Kemp, Ben Batchelor and Elsie Heaton.
