MORNING SUN NATIVE PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Mary Murfin , 67, native of Morning Sun and lately a resident of Wapello, passed away last Sunday. Last rites were held at the Dixie Free Methodist church and burial was made in Wapello cemetery.

OBITUARY
Mary Mudodra Fisher was born Jan 10, 1879 to Barney and Sarah Bryant Fisher at Morning Sun, Iowa. She was united in marriage May 23, 1894 to Lewis Cash Murfin of Muscatine. To this union was born one son, Leonard. In 1899 they moved to Louisa County where they have resided for the last 47 years.

She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her husband, one son, a brother, Alva, all of Wapello, and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and neighbors.

She was converted in the Methodist church in Oakville, Iowa in 1904 and later united with the Free Methodist church in Morning Sun. After a few years her membership was changed to the Dixie Free Methodist church near Columbus Junction where she was a faithful member until her death March 17, 1946, at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist church in Wapello by Rev. Darrel Hart, pastor of the Free Methodist church at Dixie and Morning Sun, assisted by Rev. Nye of the Methodist church in Wapello.
