Smith, VedaWord has been received of the death of former resident Veda Baker Smith, which occurred last Wednesday, February 11 in California. Funeral services were held at Forrest Lawn in California on Monday morning, February 24.
Veda was the daughter of Wm. and Viola Baker. Among survivors are sisters, Grace Broeker, Morning Sun and Shirley Linder, Stronghurst, Illinois; brothers William Baker, New London and Kenneth Baker of Texas.
Veda was a 1942 graduate of Morning Sun High School.
