Marjorie Carr

Marjorie Irene Carr, 77, Morning Sun, died Saturday evening, July 19, 2003, at the Morning Sun Care Center. The daughter of Ray and Grace Kopp Wilson, she was born October 28, 1925 in Morning Sun. She was a 1942 graduate of the Yarmouth High School. On December 17, 1945, she married Robert Carr in Wapello.

She was a member of the Morning Sun United Methodist Church and owner/operator of Wilson Hardware in Morning Sun.

She believed in helping people.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Carolyn Richenberger, Morning Sun; one son, Larry Carr, Brownsville, Vermont; give grandchildren; one sister, Marian Minnis of Morning Sun; one brother, Charles Wilson of Burlington; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Tamara, and one sister.
The funeral services for Marjorie Carr will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Morning Sun United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harlan Winter officiating. Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Open visitation will be Friday until 5 p.m. at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun. The family will meet with friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Memorials have been established for the Morning Sun United Methodist Church, Morning Sun Care Center, and Great River Hospice.
