Beverly A. Chamberlain

Beverly A. Chamberlain, principal at Kingdom Christian Academy in Overland, Missouri, died Monday, May 5, 2003 of a brain aneurysm at DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton. She was 54 and a resident of Bridgeton.

She was born in Wapello, Iowa. She attended Northeast Missouri State University, no Truman State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

She began her teaching career in the Orchard Farm School District in St. Charles County, teaching six grade language arts.

She left teaching in 1975 when she started a family with her husband, Bill Chamberlain.

She returned to teaching in 1983 at Kingdom Christian Academy. She was appointed principal in 1993.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 8, 2003 at West County Christian Church, 111 South Woods Mill Road, Chesterfield. Burial was in Lake Charles Cemetery.

In addition to her husband of 31 years, among survivors are two sons, Michael W. Chamberlain of St. Peters and Jeffrey Chamberlain of Bridgeton; one daughter, Christina Chamberlain-Winkles of Sycamore Hills; her mother and father, Charles and Margery Jones of Wapello; one sister, Shirley White of Quincy, Illinois.
