KITCHEN, ABBOTT

Mrs. Linda Kitchen, died august 7, at Restopia, where she had been a patient for about a week.

Mrs. Kitchen was born in Kentucky on September 19, 1861, and was married to Walter Andrew Kitchen on her 22nd birthday. They settled in Oskaloosa in 1911, where Mr. Kitchen died in 1927. Three years later Mrs. Kitchen and her son, Clyde Kitchen moved to a farm 5 miles west of Columbus Junction, which has since been their home.

The son survives, as do 2 other sons: Herbert Kitchen, Oskaloosa, and French Kitchen, Chicago; a brother, Charles Abbott, of California; 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at two o'clock this Thursday afternoon at the Stacy Funeral Home and were conducted by the Rev. Thomas E. Nelson of Cotter.

Music was by Mrs. Robert Greene.

Flower attendants were Mrs. Stanley Arthur and Miss Gladys Ball.

Casket bearers were: Wm. Winter, Ora Deppey, George Gruwinkel, Kenneth Arthur, Stanley Arthur and Harry White.

Interment Columbus City Cemetery.
