Mrs. J. O. Hall;, a resident of the Spring Run and Winfield communities for many years, died at the burlington Hospital in Burlington Sunday morning, October 30th, where she had been a patient for several weeks.

Nannie Caroline Greene, the daughter of Jesse and Jane Watenarger Greene, was born February 6, 1875, at Telford, Tennessee and was aged 74 years, eight months and fourteen days.

She came to Iowa at the age of seventeen and was united in marriage to J. O. Hall, December 27, 1899. They established their home in the Spring Run community and in her early married life she was converted and joined the Spring Run Evangelical Church. She served as superintendent of the Bible School at one time and was always active in the work of the church in what ever community she resided.

At times she was a member of the Methodist Church and at the time of her death her membership was again in the Spring Run Church.

She was the youngest in a family of eleven children and was preceded in death by her father and mother, four sisters and six brothers.

She is survived by her husband, J. O. Hall, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was a member of the Spring Run E. U. B. Church as stated above, also of the Faith Circle of the Winfiedl Methodist Church and an honorary member of the Spring Run Ladies Aid Society.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, at 1:30 at the Barton Funeral Home in Winfield and at 2:00 o'clock in the Spring Run Church with the Rev. G. J. Roths officiating assisted by the Rev. Roger Crabtree of Winfield.

Mrs. Rex Enke and Miss Frances Metzger sang, "Safe In The Arms of Jesus" and "Sometime We'll Understand" accompanied by Miss Mabel Day.

Flower attendants were Misses Wanda Hall, Naomi Hall, Maxine Gable and Bonnie Gruver.

Casket bearers were all nephews of Mrs. Hall. They were: Fay Greene, Noah Greene, Ben Browing, Howard Greene, Harold Hall and Herbert Hall.

Burial at the Columbus City Cemetery.
