Mrs. Wilhelmena Serman Young passed away at 12:20 o'clock yesterday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louie Beane, in this city. She had been in good health all winter until last Sunday when she took cold and pneumonia set in which ended her days.

Deceased was born in Altenburg, Saxen, Germany, on June 6, 1825, and was aged at the time of her death 81 years, 6 months and 27 days. She was united in marriage to Mr. William Young in her native country in the year 1850. Three years later they came to this country. Arriving on American soil they sought a home in the west, settling in Wapello, living here continuously until their death. Mr. Young passed away March 14, 1905, at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 23 days. There are left to mourn four daughters and two sons: Mrs. Mary Foor and Mrs. Louie Beane, of Wapello; Mrs. Emma Kerr, of Lincoln, Neb.; Mrs. Anna Christie, of Cedar Rapids; Robert and Henry Young, of Wapello.

The funeral services will be held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louie Beane, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. P. Hehner. Interment in the Wapello cemetery.
