WAPELLO, Iowa - Marjorie Kathryn Morris Jack, 96, Wapello, passed away Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, at the Wapello Nursing & Rehab Center.

Cremation will be completed and a funeral service will be held at a later date at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Burial will be at the Harrison Cemetery.

Mrs. Jack was born May 26, 1914, the daughter of George Walter and Lola Wiederrecht Morris, in rural Wapello.

She graduated from Wapello High School in 1933.

She loved the country and farm life, gardening and nature.

She had a special love for the elderly and children.

She spent much time visiting at the nursing home and with the home bound.

She was a born again Christian of the Protestant faith.

She was a former member of the Louisa County Historical Society.

She is survived by a son, Richard J. "Jerry" Jack and wife, Helen of Wapello; a grandson, Jeffrey A. Jack and wife, Sally of Wapello; a great-grandson, Kyle G. Jack of Wapello; a sister-in-law, Frances Morris of Burlington; three nieces; a nephew; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John D. Morris and wife, Ruth, Robert W. Morris, and Richard Morris; infant twin brother and sister; and a great-grandson, Glen A. Jack.
