LAGRO, Ind. - Sharon Kay Hembree, 63, rural Lagro, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Memorial may be made to Lagro United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Rick Borgman will officiate.

Mrs. Hembree was born July 11, 1947, in Wapello, the daughter of John H. and Venitia (Jordan) Richardson.

She was a 1965 graduate of Wapello High School.

She married Delbert E. Hembree Nov. 13, 1965, in Chicago, Ill.

She was a qualified medication aide in nursing 30 years and enjoyed working with Alzheimer's patients.

She was a member of Lagro United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed working with and painting ceramics and owned a ceramics shop. She also enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.

She is survived by husband, Delbert E. Hembree; three children, Doyle E. Hembree and wife, Jane, Delta E. Myers, all of Lagro, and Deanna E. Hembree of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren, Jasmine R. Hembree, Nate Hembree, Kate Hembree, Samuel E. Hembree,and Braxton Myers, all of Lagro, and Dakota J. Bitzell, Michael Bitzell, and Brianna K. Myers, all of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Tom Wykert and wife, Judy of Oakville, Iowa, and Gary Richardson and wife, Linda, Wapello; seven sisters, Faye Richardson and husband, Brian of Farmersville Station, N. Y., Kathy Richardson, Susie Heenan, and Carol Richardson, all of LaSalle, Ill., Donna O'Conner and Grace Lemonnier, both of Denver, Colo., and Barbara Reem and husband, Perry, Burlington, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by brother, Jack Richardson.
