Guy Eutsler, 80, of Winfield, died Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Veterans Medical Center in Iowa City.

The son of Claude and Nora Dale Knowles Eutsler, he was born November 9, 1922, in Wapello. He married Hilma Andino in May of 1965, in Honduras.

He was a graduate of the Wapello High School. He served in the U.S. Army 1939 – 1945 during World War II.

He was a member of the Winfield Open Bible Church.

He was self-employed as a TV repairman and electronic technician.

Survivors include his children, Sandra Partlow, Carolyn Evans, Herbert J. Eutsler, D.Lee Eutsler, Thomas Eutsler Lamb, John Eutsler and Cynthia O’Bleness; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, one son, and one sister.

The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Winfield Open Bible Church with the Revs. Greg Carr and John Royer officiating. Interment followed at the Salem South Cemetery with military rites by the Winfield American Legion and V.F.W.

Visitation was Monday evening at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield.

A memorial has been established for the Winfield Open Bible Church.

Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.
