Rosalinda Zuniga Nunez, 51, of Conesville Iowa, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services for Rosalinda will be Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbus Junction. Father Joseph Sia will officiate. Casketbearers will be Jimbo Cuellar, Joey Cuellar, Pedro Nunez, Victor Canchola, Javier Diaz, and Billy Dominguez. Burial will be in Conesville Cemetery. Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 p.m with a 7:00 p.m. Rosary at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Columbus Junction. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Rosalinda. Sympathy notes may be left to the Nunez-Cuellar family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Rosalinda Zuniga was born on March 17, 1957 in Del Rio, TX, the daughter of Gertrudis and Alicia (Soto) Zuniga. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

Rosalinda will be dearly missed by her children, Griselda Canchola and her husband, Victor of Columbus Junction, Jimbo Cuellar and his wife, Sandra of Conesville, Joey Cuellar of Columbus Junction, and Pedro Nunez of Conesville; five grandchildren, Javier, Michelle, Daniela, Nayna, and Vanessa; and six siblings, Robert Zuniga and his wife, Melissa, Rachael Gomez and her husband, Saul, Elvia Dominguez and her husband, Tudy, Ruben Zuniga and his wife, Elvira, and Rebecca Hernandez and her husband, Alejandro all of Columbus Junction, and Rene Zuniga and his wife, Cecy of Muscatine and numerous nieces and nephews..

Rosalinda was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Greg Cuellar.
