Audrey LaVon Haan, age 83, of Waverly, Iowa, and formerly of Columbus Junction and Waterloo, Iowa, died on July 23, 2009 at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly, Iowa.

Audrey was born on March 12, 1926, in rural Dumont, Iowa, the daughter of Kurt and Nida Ruth (Hesse) Roll. Audrey attended Spring Garden Country School through the 8th grade and then attended Aplington High School, graduating in 1944. On August 11, 1945, Audrey was united in marriage to Arthur G. Haan at the Little Brown Church in Nashua and the couple later divorced. Audrey worked at the Rath Packing Company in both the Waterloo and Columbus Junction Plants for a total of 30 years.

Audrey enjoyed fishing, watching T.V. (especially sports) and occasionally visited the casinos.

Audrey is survived by her sister, Carolyn Haviland and her husband, James of Waverly, Iowa; her lifelong friend and classmate, Pat McCaffery of Cedar Falls, Iowa, 6 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nieces and nephews, 3 great-great nieces and nephews. Her parents, and one brother, Clarence Roll of Nashua, preceded Audrey in death.

There will be no visitation or services at Audrey’s request. Her body has been cremated. Memorials may be directed to the family or Cedar Valley Hospice. Online condolences may be left for Audrey at www.kaisercorson.com.
