Wilma I. (Moore) Flanagan, 75, passed away peacefully on Nov 11, 2009, at Colonial Manor. Wilma was born March 14, 1934 and was a lifelong resident of Council Bluffs. She was the youngest daughter of Steve Edward and Mary Eliza (Pace) Moore. Wilma retired in 1997 after working more than 40 years as a lab technician for Frito Lay, Blue Star Foods and Marie Callender at ConAgra.

She is survived by her only daughter, Kim Henningfield of Columbus Junction; Kim’s husband, Jeff; grandkids, Michael and Sarah and three sisters, Ethel Bogue of Portland, OR, Mary Jane Bullock of Lacrosse, WI, and Lyla Johnston of Council Bluffs. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Gertrude Wood and Alberta Hensley and brothers, Gerald, Otto, and Edward Moore.

Wilma is also survived by forty-one loving nieces and nephews, numerous great and great-great-nieces and nephews, and her countless friends and neighbors. Her smile and laughter may have left us, but she will remain in our hearts forever.

Local arrangements were handled by the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial service was held at Colonial Manor on Monday. Burial will take place in Council Bluffs at a later date. Memorials in Wilma’s name may be directed to Hospice Compassus.
