Lillian M. Fisher, 84, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Private graveside services for Lillian were Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Columbus City Cemetery. Casket bearers were Lynn Mincer, Bo Morrison, Doug Peters, Dan Peters, Rick Peters, Twyla Peters and Will Peters. Visitation for Lillian was held on Tuesday, December 22 from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, Columbus Junction. Lillian M. Peters was born on July 11, 1925 in Cotter, Iowa, the daughter of Omrie and Venis (Bell) Peters. On June 29, 1946, Lillian was united in marriage to Wm O. Duncan in Cotter, Iowa. He passed away on September 22, 1974. On September 27, 1976 Lillian married Max E. Fisher in Camdenton, Missouri. During World War II she welded on LST warships in Seneca, IL. She worked locally at Smithcraft in Columbus Junction for many years. Lillian was an avid crotchetier, cake baker, and sports fan. She loved watching college and professional basketball, football and golf.

Lillian will be dearly missed by her sister, Pauline Breneman of Columbus Junction; two brothers; Kenneth Peters and his wife, Velma of Columbus Junction, and Robert Peters and his wife, Elaine of Davenport; one sister-in-law; Edna Peters of Cotter; and many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, one son, Mark Duncan, one sister in infancy, and two brothers, Keith and Bill Peters.
