Evelyn Finke, 92, of Columbus Junction, Iowa, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.
Memorial services for Evelyn will be Friday, August 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Rev. Al Coffin will officiate. Inturnment will be in Cambrian Cemetery with the Rev. Nathaniel Pyron presiding. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Memorials may be directed to the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church in Evelyn’s name. Online condolences may be left to the Finke family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Evelyn Jane Kerr was born December 5, 1916 in Grandview, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Jane (Lewis) Kerr. On November 26, 1960 Evelyn was united in marriage to Clifford F. Finke in Mediapolis, Iowa. Evelyn was a homemaker and beloved mother to her children. She was a member of the Rebekahs, the Lions Club and the Royal Neighbors. She was also a member of the United Methodist Church and was active in her church circle.

Evelyn will be dearly missed by her children, John Blecha of St. Louis, Missouri, Linda Porter of Osceola, Iowa and Christina McLaury of Madison, Alabama; three grandchildren, Chad Evans of Iowa City, Iowa, Annissa Evans of Phoenix, Arizona and Rex McLaury of Madison, Alabama; her brother-in-law, Edlef Boysen of Mediapolis, IA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Carl and Pauline DeFosse of Burlington, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clifford; one brother, Harlan G. Kerr; and one sister, Maxine Boysen.
