Anita Edith (Boulton) Fekkers was born March 30th, 1930, to Emma Domes Boulton and Lloyd William Boulton in Chicago, IL. She was baptized on May 5, 1930, and Confirmed on April 18, 1943.

Anita graduated from Columbus Junction High School as valedictorian of her class in 1947. She attended St. Monica’s School of Nursing in Arizona and graduated in 1950. Caring for others was Anita’s passion and like everything she set her mind to, it seemed to come effortlessly. Kindness was something she couldn’t help but bestow onto others.

While working in a Vet Hospital in St. Louis, MO, she met Francis Edward Fekkers. After she moved to Denver, CO, in order to be closer to him, Francis asked Anita to marry him. They were wed September 23, 1956, at St. John Lutheran Church. Together, they moved to Francis’ hometown of Wauneta, NE, and adopted two children. The first was a son named Michael Lloyd and the second was a daughter named Ruth Diane. You could not have met a prouder mother. She loved her family deeply and made sure they knew it every minute of every day.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, Natalie Stephens and Joey Hart-Stephens; a sister-in-law, Darlene Boulton; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Rhoad; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Fekkers and Duane Blickenstaff.

She is survived by her husband, Francis; her son, Mike Fekkers and wife, Wendy of Corvallis, OR; her daughter, Ruth Liedle of Lincoln, NE; her granddaughter, Amanda Liedle of Lincoln, NE; her grandson, Brandon Kela and wife, Jenni of Elko, NV; grandson, Jacob Fekkers of Corvallis, OR; two step-grandsons, Nick and Tyler Ferraro of Walla Walla, WA; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Elissa, and Marcus Kela of Elko, NV; one sister, Nona Kerchal and husband, Keith of Wauneta, NE; one brother, George Boulton and his wife, Terry of Honolulu, HI; two brothers-in-law, Bob Stephens of Lancaster, CA, and Don Rhoad and wife of Sargent, NE; one sister-in-law, Barb Blickenstaff of Arapahoe, NE; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

Honorary Pallbearers were Brandon Kela, Amanda Liedle, Kevin Kerchal, Lloyd Kerchal, Kim Kerchal, Nick Ferraro and Tyler Ferraro.
