Lisa Schneider, 49, of Wapello, Iowa, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington, Iowa.
Funeral services were Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with Pastor Sue-Ellen Sherman of the Wapello United Methodist Church officiating. Casket bearers were Bill Dieckman, John Dieckman, Jeff Hackett, Ron Lawrence, John Griffith and Adam Mauer. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery. Following the committal there was a time of food and fellowship at the United Methodist Church, 319 N. Main Street, Wapello, Iowa. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 8th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Lisa’s name. Lisa Lynne Davis was born June 17, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Waldo “Honk” Edwin and Florence “Sis” Rebecca (Proctor) Davis. On February 6, 1981 Lisa was united in marriage to Steven Schneider in Wapello. Lisa had worked as a dietitian for the L&M School district. She was a member of the Wapello United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping, cooking, babysitting and attending the State Fair for over 28 years, collecting the free magnets, fans, plastic bags and spin art for the grandchildren. She liked scrap booking, crocheting, especially beaded socks. She loved animals, especially her dog, ferrets and cat. Lisa also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Lisa will be dearly missed by her husband, Steve of Wapello; her children, Stacy Shutt and husband, Adam of Muscatine and Christopher Schneider and wife, Angie of West Branch; two grandchildren, Summer Rose and Kaitlynne Sage; her sisters, Sharon Marnholtz and husband, Herb of Warrensburg, MO and Jane McCleary and husband, Tom of Morning Sun; her brother, Kevin Davis and wife, Sharon of Muscatine; and her sister-in-law, Bonita Davis of Independence.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, Betty Davis, her brother, Darrell Davis and her father-in-law.
