Linda Dearth

Linda L. Dearth, 65, of Morning Sun died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, in Wapello. The daughter of Lloyd Gene and Marie Elizabaeth Randoll Dearth, she was born September 22, 1944 in Burlington. She was a graduate of the Morning Sun High School.

She attended the United Methodist Church in Morning Sun.

She worked for Thatcher Plastics in Muscatine for over 30 years. She also delivered the Burlington Hawkeye for several years.

Survivors include: two brothers, Donald Dearth of Morning Sun and Wayne Dearth of Fort Myers, Florida; two sisters, Frances Thacker of Muscatine and Phyllis Marlette of Stafford, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

The body was cremated and there was no visitation.

A graveside service was at 11 a.m. Monday, November 30, 2009, in Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, with the Rev. Scott Smith officiating.

Memorials in her name were established for the benefit of the American Cancer Fund and the Diabetes Association.

Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun assisted the family with arrangements.
