Alice CarterAlice Carter, 89, Altoona, died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House. Alice was born on February 12, 1920 in Wapello, Iowa to Myron and Flossie Adamson Daily.
Alice is survived by her husband of 71 years, Kenneth E. Carter; sons Ken (Bonnie) Carter and Myron (SueAnn) Carter; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Iten and Myra Mehaffey.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Martha Walker and Shirley Walker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, 209 Franklin Street, Wapello, Iowa. Burial followed at the Wapello Cemetery. Visitation with the family present was one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Alice.
