Warren E. CowlesWarren Eugene Cowles, 70, Northbrook, IL, passed away Saturday, March 14, at Loyola University Medical Center.
He was born December 19, 1938, to Henry and Irene McCulley Cowles. He married Judith Ann Miller on December 27, 1959 in Iowa City.
He was a graduate of Wapello High School and the University of Iowa, Iowa City, with a B.A. in business. He managed Osco Drug Stores, People Drug Store, worked for White Hen Corp, and owned a White Hen and Tastefreeze in the Chicago area.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Craig and David; one daughter, Carol Ann Eno; three grandsons, Nick Eno, Cameron and Caden Cowles; two brothers, Nelson, Morning Sun and Robert, Wapello; two sisters, Betty Ball, Mediapolis, and Doris Harris, Morning Sun. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one son, Kurt; two grandchildren; and his parents.
Warren enjoyed his family, nature, hunting, and horseback riding.
Services will be held at N.H. Scott & Hanekamp Funeral Home, Glenview, IL, on Thursday, March 19th.
A service will also be held at Bethel Church, rural Wapello, Saturday, March 28, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. service.
Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Association or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
