Muscatine, Iowa – Albert M. Wilson, 65, of Muscatine died Saturday, October 18, 2009, at Unity Hospital.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009, for family and friends at Island Cemetery, Fruitland.

Reverend Tom Parrot will officiate the service. A funeral luncheon will be held following the committal service at the American Legion Post 27.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Marsha Wilson.

Albert was born on June 17, 1944 in Muscatine, the son of Harold and Maxine Franklin Wilson. He married Marsha Bennett on October 15, 2005, in Muscatine.

He was a 1962 graduate of Grandview High School. He graduated from Muscatine Community College in 1964, and also attended two years at the University of Iowa studying engineering.

He farmed for half of his life and was also a self-employed carpenter, building homes and remodeling.

He was a member of the US Army Reserves.

He was a member of the Island United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 27.

He was an outdoors man being an avid duck and deer hunter. He loved NASCAR, the St. Louis Cardinals, and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Marsha Wilson of Muscatine; two sons, Terry Wilson of Rock Island, Illinois and Dustin Wilson of Muscatine Island; two daughters, Tammi Wilson of Muscatine and Keer Wilson of Muscatine; one step-son, Chad Luellen of Chicago, Illinois; one step-daughter Jaime Gustafson and husband, Andy, of Rock Island; three step-grandchildren, Zachary, Corbin and Kristin of Rock Island; his mother, Maxine Wilson of Muscatine; two brothers, David Wilson and wife Diana of Muscatine and Denis Wilson and wife Marilyn of Gering, Nebraska; two sisters, Marci Stephens and husband Bill of Muscatine and Annette Townsley and husband Randy of Letts; and several aunts, uncles, and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father.
