Mrs. Jane Hackett, a well known resident of Letts, passed away at her home there Saturday afternoon following an illness of but a few days. Ills attendant upon old age caused her demise, which came in her 82nd year.

Her husband passed away several years ago. She is survived by three sons, William, Thomas and James Hackett, all of Letts, and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Coder, of near Cranston, and Mrs. O.C. Rittenhouse of Muscatine.

Mrs. Hackett was one of the most esteemed residents of this vicinity and her passing will bring grief to many hearts and homes.
