Mrs. Elizabeth H. Perkins was born June 28th, 1834, at West Elizabeth, Allegheny county, Pennslyvania and died at the home of her son, James Perkins, near Wapello, September 1st, 1921 at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 3 days.

She was united in marriage to Claiborn Perkins in 1857. To this union four children were born, three of whom, with one step-son, remain to mourn her death. They are Mrs. E. J. Westfall of Davenport, James of near Wapello, Alex of Tempas, Colorado, and the stepson Marshall Perkins of New London. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home of her son James Perkins, conducted by Rev. MBride of Wapello. Interment was made in the Morning Sun cemetery.
